I got to level 16. I don't really think the difficulty is a problem, because if they made it harder the game would be too short for some people. Add an extreme difficulty or something.

Excellent! I played three games, and there was a dramatic learning curve. In game one, I got 25 words a minute. Second time, 30. On the third and last time, 35. I would like to see it expand. There is a main problem though. When I hit wrong letter when I'm starting a new word, I have to find that word that I've just started, and it takes a while to find it. Maybe there should be a little flash of light around the word whenever you start a new one??

on expert mode the words and letters overlap so that if you press P you might end up typing the wrong p and well that might just cost you, your game.

The only complaint I have with this game is sometimes the words overlap in the beginning so it's hard to see what I have to type :/

on normal mode, i can go on forever, most of the time, i just get bored and kill myself. but the brand new expert mode, its pretty fun. i got to wave 19... and im only 11

It gets hard at higher levels not so much because of the necessary speed, but because of the overlapping letters and trying to guess which of a dozen words it decided you were trying to type when you hit a certain letter.

@Liza: Yeah, very doubtful you got much past Wave 30 in normal mode, which would be around 45 minutes of play or less. Needing to quit after 20 minutes or so might've "felt like hours" but it's not. "There's a way to beat" 50 Waves in Expert Mode, but you wouldn't beat it.

Buenísimo (Great)... I got to level 25 and got bored (no audio around level 20). You should add difficulties like random capitalization, apart from density, add speed in higher levels. Nice job in design.

The game leverages a skill people already have. As such, it would make a lot of sense to let people select a difficulty level at the start. Preferably one expressed in wpm.

Well done! Increases in difficulty in nice increments. The difficulty of the words in very appropriate too. I would maybe make the score in the bottom corner a little bigger so typists realize that goal as well. Very fun! Maybe include a very difficult word as a bomb to explode the things close. Humans can recognize fonts that have glyphs better than block style fonts (fact). It would make the letters easier to identify and prevent confusion in deciphering between "i" and "l" and "t" and "f". It would also be cool if the target (not the letters) blinked when you are shooting it, especially when things get busy on higher levels. Also, it would be helpful if the word you were shooting came to the foreground when targets overlap... nice game.

Could be more interesting if you had the ability to start at later levels, as opposed to the snail's pace of the early ones.

almost perfect, but it gets confusing if you miss a letter, or hit a letter by mistake and not realize what word you're meant to type. Perhaps the word you've selected could appear larger at the top of the screen to prevent this.

It's a pretty fun game, shame it tries to ambush you into f*c*book.com with the claim of a newer version......

I like the idea of individual letters as missiles that have to be countered, and the whole presentation is really well done. I would like to see some way of choosing which enemy to focus on (in case a typo locks me onto a different enemy) and maybe some way of enforcing accuracy. Maybe you could also show which letter was typed if it's the wrong one, but that's not a huge deal. It's still really addicting.

Agree on the spacebar...if you hit spacebar it cancels the current word and you can start again. The penalty for a mistake then would be a little worse ... you'd have to start a word fresh, and it would also help with getting lost at the higher levels.

I don't think it stressed accuracy enough. Very fun, but as long as I was fast, I could make many mistakes, which would not translate to good typing.

You should find a way to optimize this game for those at the higher WPM percentiles. It would skip over some letters when you do 150+ WPM. But overall, very fun game.

I love this. I haven't tried playing with friends on Facebook yet, but I like how that option's available.

Add functionality that the spacebar pulls you out of a word you're trying to type. main problem was thinking i was done with a word and not being (my bad, admittedly) but at level 35+ it got hard to see where the word was on screen, a spacebar word cancellation would help get those little ones that were creeping up on me.

A different font would be good. I will admit, from design standpoint everything ties in nicely. But the font is just a tad hard to distinguish letters sometimes.

Well, I used one hand until level 25, then after I opened my eyes I changed to the other hand while eating lunch and making some phone calls. My girl friend said that I shouldn't use my hands, I should use....didn't quite catch what she said I should use. But anyway, after level 105 I managed to make it go much fast by hacking into the program with my other hand on another computer. My girlfriend said I should have used...didn't quite catch what she said...on the other computer instead of my other hand. The sound went off pretty early, after the first hour and a half, but I managed to go upstairs and put some music on and get back to my computer before the letters got to the bottom. Made a cup of tea on the way back as well. Bad and evil words started falling after 3 hours and I think it may have made me write a whole horror story with a bad ending which really freaked me out, but I got through it. But I think it started playing with my mind cause when I finished after using up all the electric I went nuts when I saw the cat cause I thought it was going to eat me. It was the story it made me write, and the way it did it made me feel I was one of the characters in it. And so I killed the cat. My girlfriend was really mad then. I didn't even touch the cat with my hands... This really happened. If you don't believe me you can ask my ex-girlfriend or I can send you a bit of cat. So there.

This looks amazing, and I agree that adding a definition option would be great. But really an app on facebook? Let me know when you want to sell it as a program.

You could use a GRE dictionary with meanings to improve vocab as well.

Nice work. If you were to think more closely about the words this could easily become a great typing tutor. It just need to focus on finget positions.

Awesome! I'm totally going to give this to my ESL students. My suggestions however: it gets a little confusing when I type something and I miss a letter, then I can't find out what the letter is because the word is behind the other words on the screen. Next, sometimes I start typing a word, but I accidentally hit the wrong letter, then I have to spend a lot of time looking to see what word it was that I accidentally started typing. A simple fix to this would be to change th e word your typing color from orange (gets lost among the ships when there's a lot on the screen) to green or something. Also I would like to use this to learn myself, so I would love a version where I could learn new words. Maybe a version where it would log all the words you've shot so you can find the definition later. This could even be advanced so that other users can enter their own words. To make sure they're spelled correctly, they could be required to link to a dictionary of it. Great game, great concept, and if you're ever looking for someone to make music on a project in the future (though it looks like you've found someone good) shoot me an email. I would love to be involved in a project that combines fun, skill, and learning like this. Sorry for the wall, but the form wouldn't let me submit with spaces between paragraphs? :-/

Wow, this brings back memories. There was a game like this back on the first Commodore PET 2001. Words would fall from the top of the screen faster and faster and you had to type them before they hit the bottom. I learned how to type 80 WPM before I was 11. Sadly, it wasn't using the "approve" method, so when I took Typing in HS, the teacher was always docking points because I don't use the home-line. Not to mention I could out type her doing so :)

the word you are typing sometimes gets clustered and then hidden behind another. and so if you didnt actually catch what the word you were typing was. say the word 'suddenly' pops up and you hit 's'. if it is right below another word it will bounce up and be hidden behind the other word. otherwise this is very creative.

Please add "Press Space to Play Next Round" between rounds. My hands got tired at lvl 23 so I just quit. Needs a rest break between rounds. Otherwise, for a good typist, it is an endurance game rather than an accuracy game.

I enjoyed it. Got to level 54, 9,264 points. It started getting repetitive after awhile; you should add capitalization, numbers and symbols to the higher levels to keep it fresh as the game progresses.

Very nice, I recommend you try this, you wont be disappointed. by the time you reach level 5 it really starts to test your processing skills etc. This could lead to something big and extremely popular. I suggest that this game could and should be purchased by the Makers of Scrabble they could use the concept for there own product/

This is similar to Letter Invaders, part of the Typing Tutor app from years and years ago. It improve both speed and accuracy dramatically, very quickly. Great to see it back for the next generation.

Music cut out on me too. One suggestion: Force the player to retype misspelled words, or at least offer the option to.

A very good game. Maybe there should be difficulty levels rather than making the whole thing more difficult - although I did find it quite easy. I only realised that the larger ones spawned letters quite late on in the game, but if this was to be used in an educational fashion I don't think that the single letters would be popular. A great game, although it feels very difficult to type without spaces!! :)
