WebGL Music Visualizer

Launch Experiment
Not working? This is a WebGL experiment, so try running it with Google Chrome.
From the Author:
This music visualizer allows you to create and watch real-time visualizations of music. Load one of the presets to watch an Android dance or a solar system bounce to the beat. Add shapes and lighting effects to the scene that vary according to time and frequencies in the music – all in real time in a web browser! This demo includes customizable 3D geometry, audio analysis, particle and lighting effects.
Technology:
WebGL, JavaScript, Canvas, Flash

Awesome! This is what I have been envisioning for music visualization for years. Please keep developing this or hand it off to me or someone else if you are going to abandon it.
Reply to this commentWhy is this using Flash? Isn't this all supposed to be HTML5?
Reply to this commenti want to be able to use visualizers i make with my own music, either as an itunes visualizer or one that detects the music playing through the speakers or headphones and does the visualizing stuff along with it. how can i do that with this?
Reply to this commentWork fine in Firefox 4.0.1 mac !
Reply to this commentUsing Chromium 11.0.696.67 compiled with MSVC 2008. Works only if --use-gl=desktop is appended to the end of the command line to launch the browser. Otherwise gives a black screen. This looks like one for the Chromium bug team.
Reply to this commentplzzz open ?help???
Reply to this commentHave Firefox 4 RC candidate, on win xp sp3, played the music, then when I tried to load a preset, the scripts on the page started failing. This seriously pissed off my computer because it started crashing. Then Dr. Watson quit, and I got a Blue Screen of Death. Any Ideas about what happened? My computer is only 3 yrs old.

Reply to this commentBlacked out my screen - had to reboot my machine. Using Chrome 9.
Reply to this commentI also got the "Failed to load SM2" error. I did a little experimenting and found that it was, indeed, a Flash problem. I disabled my Flash blocker for the site and it then worked totally fine (after I closed the YouTube tab I had open).

Reply to this commentOk, seriously, this needs the ability to load/import music from your local HDD, or possibly a playlist... This is so awesome!!! Especially the android!
Reply to this commentIt would be great to be able to load user's own music.
Reply to this commentCool. It would be great to have you work with us on a Chrome version of a new version of our renwowned 1980s/90s BiT BOPPER technology: http://www.owonder.com/bitbopper (One thing, I'm sure it's me, but I only get a blank non responsive interface in the latest builds of Firefox on OS X. (I get the no WebGL message for Safari and Chrome, so on that one, I plead guilty!)

Reply to this commentOh! Probably because I don't have Flash installed...
Reply to this commentYou dont need flash installed, all these experiments use HTML5. HTML5 is being used to eliminate the need for Flash.
