Launch Experiment
Not working? This is a WebGL experiment, so try running it with Google Chrome.
From the Author:
Demo using Three.js to render a game made with impactJS + box2D. Original impactJS demo: http://impactjs.com/demos/physics/
The impactJS 2d game runs in the background but is hidden, instead it's state is used to update the 3d-objects in the Three.js scene.
Use arrows to move, X to jump and C to shoot.
Have fun!
Technology:
WebGL, ImpactJS, Three.js, Spark.JS

Want to try something really fun? Open chrome run the game then edit player.js line 53 and change "pressed" to "state" then "Ctrl + S". Now try shooting, pretty fun. After 400 items or so the game just halts.
Reply to this commentAwesome! It works really well. I use a Win7 laptop (sorry!) with 4 virtual cores & 6 gigs of ram, and it was going pretty smoothly, even when I shot a load of bullets into the starting area. Damn good shading, although I prefer it with post-processing off :-P

Reply to this commentjust tested on nvidia geforce gt 640 centos 6.2 firefox 14.0.1 -- works fine, I was filling the lower regions up with ammo until I could stand higher than the platforms, finally reduced to about 10 fps so I came back to drop a note. cheers though, nice & impressive.
