I have a frikin nvidia gtx 590 w/ google chrome, and it says that my card is not supported? webGL is the worst thing ive ever tried to use, I cant even use it cause it has this stupid automatic disable thing. Even though my drivers support webgl, and my browser supports it, webGL still doesn't work and needs a LOT more work. I can barely find it a good addition to the internet if it doesn't fucking even work on my chromebook.

Reply to this commentWould be very useful if you could hover the mouse over a datapoint and find out about it, e.g. what language, what city, what population, how many searches

Reply to this commentAny plans to provide a short tutorial on how to use it for our own data?
Reply to this commentE.g. what are the fields in the data: Looking at 6,159,0.001,30,99,0.002,45,-109,0.000,42,115,0.007,4,-54,0.000,-16,... it looks like basically lat, long, magnitude, lat, long, magnitude...
Reply to this commentThat's actually correct. I used other data and made an earthquake version, it updates live without refresh - using polling.
This is fantastic. A great way to visualize global data. Now we just need to get it to work on mobile devices! Let's get webGL ported to mobile browsers ASAP!!!
Reply to this commentAbsolutely! We really need Android devices to take advantage of this.

Reply to this commentThis is ridiculously useful. I wish it was a tad bit easier to jump into. I'm sure it's fairly simple once you figure it out, but....
