Stupid school blockin it
Reply to this commentI have been looking for this games for years, it is great to see it and play. First time around it was brilliant and this has captured it so spot on. Pretty hard. Thank you for your time on this.
Reply to this commentGreat game, absolutely love it. Great work! Never played the classic but still very fun.
Reply to this commentyes
Reply to this commentSet default controls to, arrows: thrust, rotate and shield (ala asteroid) and space to fire. Write this under the game
Put your flash component somewhere you can unflashblock it.
Reply to this commentThis doesn't work for me... For one thing, whenever I crash, the ship disappears, I lose control, and then nothing happens. No restart, no YOU LOSE, nothing. Also, I cannot shoot. For another thing, when I use the tractor beam to get the fuel, everything turns black except for the green thing between the fuel and the pod.
Reply to this commentYeah, you don't have Flash installed. This doesn't work without Flash. :\
Reply to this commentAbsolutely superb!
Brought back so many great memories - can't thank you enough.
A few questions - is this entirely a new implementation or have you used some BBC Micro code in this?
Looks like it's all in JavaScript. except the sound as you mentioned.
Thanks again,

Reply to this commentDude! I I'am too young to remember the 8-bits very good (but I have had a Commodor-64 as a little child) but ambience of this game affects me strongly. The minimalistic old-shoolish style is perfect. And the caption "PLANET DESTROYED" is amazing too look at. Soo little is said in the game and though - it stimulates the imagination to find out what is this little ship that is stealing something and destroying planets. Great work! I thing I'am gonna try to complete this game without cheating :) Thank you!
Reply to this commentFantastic. This game is 100% exactly what it should be, and you'll get nothing but praise from me.
Some of these other comments (Sticky keys?! FFS, TURN IT OFF THEN!) make me really really sad.
Reply to this commentYES!
Reply to this commentSo fr**k*ng hard!
Reply to this commentif you use a PC and press shift to many times it turns on sticky keys and the game doesn't work anymore.
Reply to this commentIf you use Microsoft Windows :) I'am on PC, running Linux and don't have to care about that :) Anyway - you can turn off sticky keys if I recall.
Reply to this commentAbsolutely Agree!
Reply to this commentWhat is the objective on level 1? I pick up the ball, then what?
Reply to this commentjust fly upwards with the ball until you disappear :)
Reply to this commentI can't play this game at all, but hey, it's awesome.
Reply to this comment...lawlzman, please, read the other comments PRIOR to posting.
Also: In 8, I managed to leave the map by flying straight down, full thrust, using shield. I don't know when this works exactly, but I assume the extra speed allows it. It's reproducible on 8, but I've yet to try it on other maps...thought it was worth posting.
Reply to this commentumm... it kinda needs better controls
Reply to this commentA perfect rendition of one of the best Commodore 64 games ever. The original by Firebird was a little slower which makes this version harder but the keys are fine, same as the original which I played for years! Good job, Thanks!
Reply to this commentHey, people who are whining about the controls. Not only is there a way to change them manually, but there's a Cheat command to make the game easier if you're going insane trying to beat it. Stop whining and have fun.
Reply to this commentplease change the controlls to somthing with wsad or arrow keys and 2 other keys for fire and shield/pick up
Reply to this commentAwesome Port, I use to play this heaps back in the day :) - I can not remember what machine I played it on, may of been early PC, but it could of been a Amstrad CPC - But it's 100% the same, well done... After changing the key-binds to something to which suits me, it was easy to play... I did not spend too much time on it, but managed to get to level 5... (brought back heaps of memories, thanks for the port, now I have something to play with in my spare time), eg: playing it when I'm suppost to be working ;)
Reply to this commentNot that it's *your* fault persay, but the controls are awful, and just don't make for an enjoyable experience.
Also, all kinds of ish goes sour if Flash isn't installed. You can't shoot, the playfield goes blank after refueling, etc.
Reply to this commentJust wait for it to load first
Reply to this commentThis is great! It's pretty hard but hey, a challenge is always welcome :P
Reply to this commentIncredibly hard to play, especially on non English keyboards. Nice idea though but needs improvements.
Reply to this commentthis is pretty good, but sorta hard to control and using 2 doesnt turn it
Reply to this commentZ turns, not 2.
Reply to this commentagree! 2 not working!
I pulled off my Z key and stuck it where my 2 key should be and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK?
But now I moved my 2 key to my Z key and it works!
