Hey! We highly recommend you launch this experiment in Google Chrome. It may run slower, or not at all, in other browsers.
Remake of classic puzzle game Blockout (3D Tetris).
Rotate and move polycubes to fill the space. If you complete a layer, it will disappear.
Special tip: try pause ;)
these are very good
What's for the pause???

How can I save this to my computer as an executable
This is an awesome game. Like others have said, if you could display an outline of the block's position on the bottom it would be very useful and make the game more approachable.
I like"this !!!
I really hate my azerty keyboard.
You can redefine keys - just click on "Keys" in the bottom right corner of the frame. Configuration is saved in a cookie, so you need to do it only once (should survive page reload).
great game, this is really addicting
Perhaps have an option that allows the X Y and Z axis controls to control the blocks according to the game axes rather than the block's axes?
Yes, that's what made it unplayable for me. So I went and fixed it. You can check out my version here: http://ringdingcoder.github.com/CubeOut
The only thing I'd change is that the grid on the walls would somehow indicate how far down each piece is as it's falling. Other than that it's a fantastic achievement! Great work!
It's very nice, good looking and i really love it but it may not become addictive until you make some changes like, you should make it more easy to play, player can not figure out when a block reaches the end.
If it feels too difficult, you can try to change game options (bottom border). With different combinations of block types, pit sizes and game speed, it creates very different "feel" for the game.
Its impossible but i love it
the game is really well written, the visuals are nice... but the controls are less than intuitive. it would be awesome if you could use mouse gestures to rotate the falling blocks!
Controls are from the original Blockout. They are bit difficult to get used to when you are just starting to play but completely indispensable when you will get better (I spent ages playing the original game ;). Mouse wouldn't allow as fast and precise controls as keyboard.
