its a good game but is awkward to comtrol it would be better if you used wasd or the arrow keys to move.

The mouse gives you the extra analogue control which the keys don't have.

1/5 for disabling right-click. You don't deserve to be featued among examples of progressive web development when you code like it's 1996

Right-click wasn't disabled, it is used in the game to buy a crystal power-up. The default browser action of popping up a context menu had to be suppressed while playing, otherwise I could not use the button for an in-game action. If you want to examine the DOM, pause the game first. This restores the contextual menu.

You can always use a browser that respects your choice to have your right-click available when you choose to.

Use Opera 10.50 and edit site preferences (F12) > scripting > unckeck "allow scripts to detect context menu events"

Little bug, On the main menu. To choose New Game or such. You have to right-click instead of left click. This is really a pain. Since it brings the right-click context menu too. Can you fix this please

Simply awesome. I especially love the controls :D

Works way better than arrows in my opinion. It just offers the extra prevision, keys can't give.

There is a graphical bug in Safari (Safari 4.0.4 an Mac OS X 10.6.2). When I play the game in fullscreen 8or rather big picture, Safari does not yet offer real fullscreen for HTML5) some graphics won't appear. For example, the big rocks are always visible, but thesmall fractures are not. Same goes for enemy ships. i can only see them exploding, bu not when they are approaching.

The difficulty is quite OK. Every time I got a bit further, and in the end I managed to get to the boss without dying once. Simly addicitve gameplay at its best

Using the mouse in this fashion is certainly different, exciting, and addictive - but it requires quite a bit of skill to master. If the ship automatically moved and locked to the nearest target or something of that nature, it would be better.

I can't use the scroll bar on the right, so I can't fit the game properly into my window. I have to use the scroll wheel on my mouse, so I either lose the very top or very bottom edge.

For everyone wanting to fix the control scheme, etc. Why not go get an EffectGames account and build a game to your own specs? I think you'll be really satisfied with the results :)

This is an awesome game... for those that complain about the controls, this game works great with a Wacom tablet and pen as the control... almost as if it was made for a Wacom tablet... easy to move and point your ship.

Ok update: From 224 seconds to 476... with 14 options and shields I became invincible, I would've lasted longer if it weren't for the lag!

Awesome game, make it harder, Oh and I got the glitch where the boss just kept moving back and forth without shooting missiles

Chrome 4.0.296.30 (It doesn't work well with this, I have to launch it 10 times before it is working well)

Sweet game, really shows how much Javascript and HTML can do, but I agree with Tristan--the controls are funky, and not in a good way. It's nary impossible to get the ship to point where you want it to point.

Wow, this is really good! I agree that you could probably charge for this, but the gameplay is a wee bit unbalanced. I got all the way to the warp zone without losing a life, then died twice there and couldn't beat the boss. Still, very fun!

Really nice game and imho the experiment with the biggest potential here. It shows how much you can do with only JS and HTML in a web browser!!!

So awesome! I would pay for this! It takes me back to the days when I played games at penny arcades. This sort of side-scrolling flight adventure with massive boss fights is exactly what I want from games.

224 seconds? Thats my best, I get little glitches in survivor mode where it keeps my score across the screen, and it tends to not work every time I launch it

This is a fun game! =)
