From the Author:
This experiment evolved from the previously submitted Jellyfish experiment. In addition to the animation and shading from the previous experiment, this one features:
1. Dynamically simulated skeletons (spring chains)
2. Partial server-side simulation and synchronization with WebSocket (node.js and socket.io)
3. Camera-facing particle system and volumetric light effect.
4. More sophisticated lighting, model and simulation controls.
5. Improved animation and shading.
6. Implemented Vladimir Vukićević's mjs matrix library
Some of the shaders might be too complex to compile on some graphic cards.
Please let me know if you get shader compilation errors. Any other comments or questions are welcome :)

Reply to this commentChrome for OSX 12.0.742.12 dev under OSX 10.6.7 on a Macbook (1280x800 resolution)). This experiment causes screen overruns (wrote to a resolution that isn't supported?) and then a kernel panic.

Reply to this commentVery nice! Working fine on chrome beta 11, win7 64 and core i3 integrated graphics.
Reply to this commentAmazing! ... but it still not working on Win 7 x64 and Chrome 9. Maybe 'cause of GPU (intel integrated?)
Reply to this commentIt's probably Intel graphics. I will simplify shaders a bit and remove a texture. Perhaps that will fix it.
Reply to this commentAmazing 3D. I think it would be nice if the rotation had momentum added to it so the animation is not jittery, making the 3D experience seamless.
Reply to this commentYup. I fixed that in the next version. It will be up soon.
Reply to this commentWonderful animation. Works on Chrome 9.0.597.98, on openSUSE 11.3-64 bit. Intel I7 740QM, Nvidia Geforce 460M, 8GB RAM. Avg 40 fps
