Blob

Launch Experiment
Slow? Not Working? Try it in Google Chrome.
From the Author:
A soft blob that can be thrown around the screen so that it bounces against the browser window. The blob can also be split (double click) into many blobs, the smaller blobs will merge into a single bigger blob if they collide.
There's skins, one of them is a debug-skin where you can see the inner workings of the blob.
Technology:
Canvas, JavaScript

Reply to this commentThe ultimate blob size: (3X LARGER) Split the ball into three pieces. Hold one piece in the air. Hold the up arrow until they are at maximum size. Combine all of the blobs.
You may have trouble if you screen is less than 720p resolution.
Reply to this commentworks mark
Reply to this commentActually, I made one 4x bigger, similarly to what you did ^^
Reply to this commentShaking activates Aero shake on Win 7, which is realy annoying. Can't you let us drag the container element instead?

Reply to this commentOMG I LOVE IT
Reply to this commentWorks perfectly on Captivate default web browser.
Reply to this commentYou can make it grow larger than it's supposed to by making it as big as possible and then splitting it in half and making it expand again.
Reply to this commentInteresting. I was able to bounce the blob with my mouse. Pretty kewl!
Reply to this commenti tried everything but i cant split them into more than 6 blobs
Reply to this commentIts actually possible to make 7 blobs. The smallest blob that can be split has 9 nodes meaning you can make 3 blobs with 4 nodes and 4 blobs with 5 nodes
Reply to this commentI'm quite impressed.
Reply to this commentwonderfool bhai its homeriohs
Reply to this commenti like it:)

Reply to this commentbloblobloblobloblobloblob , its cute, sweet, live and dynamically fast. the merging is so smooth that I couldn't believe such a few number of nodes in debug-skin
Reply to this commentShake browser window is not working on chrome@linux
Reply to this commentGreat, however needs improvement.
Reply to this commentIt would be interesting to hear more about what you think needs to be improved. The only thing I have planned to fix right now is the sometimes unexpected translation of nodes when blobs are rotated/merged.
Reply to this commentHonestly, the blob snapping together kind of ruins it a bit... I mean, maybe if it was slower, then it would be nicer on my opinion.
Reply to this commentit can only split to 4 =(
Reply to this commentSmalles blob I could create had 4 nodes...
Reply to this commenta mini game for the most patient ... in how many blobs can you split it?
I managed 7 pieces.... the maximum is 8 i believe...
Reply to this commentTo me it doesn't split into more than 4 pieces (i.e. blobs with 8 nodes each)... Is there a defect somewhere, in the script or in Chrome's engine?
Reply to this commentSplit the big ball into two pieces. Split one of those pieces into two more. Combine one of the small pieces and the largest piece. Split and Split This is basically how you get more blobs.
Here is a hint for those who need it: In the debug skin, try to make blobs with 18 nodes Then split them as much as possible.
Maximum number of blobs possible: 8 But only if the author changes this program to allow the splitting of 8s into 4s. Right now, the maximum number of blobs is 7
Splitting the blob adds a nice touch
