A Dive In Music

Launch Experiment
Not working? This is a WebGL experiment, so try running it with Google Chrome.
From the Author:
"A dive in music" started as a simple experimentation of music/sound visualization in 3d but I took so much fun doing this that it fastly became more.
It now allow to play with a playlist of creative common musics but also with your own music and everyone can build his own preset, save them and even submit them to show it to everybody.
I'm still working on it because it can be even better but I think it's now mature enough to share it and I hope someone else than me will have fun with it :P
Technology:
javascript, webgl, websound api

Reply to this commentYou should defiantly put in mic/audio in support! this is the best visualiser (in my opinion). If you made it more "dj"/ projector friendly i'd defiantly use it for my gigs
Reply to this commenti cannot get the visualisations

Really awesome app, I've had a quick play around with it and I'm impressed. The visualisations are really nice and better than what I've seen elsewhere especially with the 3D element as well.
Excellent job with this, I hope it does well!
Reply to this commentThis is really awesome! Vor great job! It comes with more than 100 effect but I'd like to know is it possible to add my own effect to this app.
Reply to this commentOf course it is :)
First play with controls, build your own presets and save them to your computer using the "save to my presets" button (I personnaly allways try to save my steps).
Then when you are really happy with one of your presets you can submit it by clicking the heart icon next to the preset name. A dialog will ask your for the name of the preset (please be imaginative :) ) and an author name.
Next I'll try the preset by myself and will judge if it's acceptable (musn't be too close to another one, must have acceptable performances, etc). If the preset is ok it will be immediatly published to everyone.
So not only you can but I will really be happy if you create and share your presets :)
Reply to this commentgot one question how bigger of a display area will this work on am thinking of using for music night with back drop projector
Reply to this commentYou won't be the first one to use it on a projector, that's why fullscreen and offline mode are there :P
I'm not sure to understand exactly what you are asking for but if it's about the maximum resolution then I can tell you that I am myself using it on a 5760x1080 display without any problem. The only question will be "how powerfull is your computer (both cpu&gpu) ?".
If your fps is too low you can reduce the number of particles in the "performance" panel.
If you were asking about the % of the screen that the application can take then it's simply 100% in fullscreen mode (press F11).
I whish you fun with it :P
(and if you don't have your answer please re-formulate :) )

Reply to this commentpretty awesome!!...love the fact how everything can be customized.....the visualisations are grt....the only thing that is not so good is the interface....make the options more clear and lesser transparent...and a little guide on what fuction does what should be clearer....even the left coulmns should be a little bigger and clear and should indicate what they do...
cool stuff though!!!
Reply to this commentThis should have been in 3D.
Reply to this commentI hope it's a joke as it is in 3d :) or do you mean with a stereoscopic view ? (if so it's something I could add some day)
Reply to this commentYes, would be brilliant experience in a stereoscopic format :-)
excepcional, tecno de ultima generacion, gracias, gracias
Reply to this commentHello
Reply to this commentIs really inspiring.
I live in the Republic, and jazz cafe has been operating.
So "A Dive In Music" I want music to play through the monitor I'd like to see
Is there a way?
Now determined the experimental music-only playback is surprise.
If you need to buy the source code and would like to be.
Mind craves.
this is out of this world...
Reply to this commentFantastic! The music fits perfectly.
Reply to this commentThis is awesome! Love the visualisations. The only problem is that the playlist window is cut off on my screen (Google Chrome, desktop resolution 1366*768)
Reply to this commentI have the same resolution and the same problem. However, the playlist window fits perfectly in full screen! :)
Reply to this commentshould not be a problem anymore :)
This is wonderful. Unfortunately, I think I'm experiencing some lag due to garbage collection - every few seconds it will stutter, and I know the GPU isn't overloaded.
Reply to this commentI love it!
